UNIS@ ENGLISH PROGRAM

Program Overview

The UNIS@ English program is designed to enhance English language proficiency for university students, with a particular focus on listening and speaking skills. Targeting the B1 level of the Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency Framework, the program serves as a foundational step toward gradually integrating English as a second language within schools—preparing students for international academic and professional environments.

UNIS@ English strengthens listening and speaking skills through the OMO model (Online Merge Offline) and Dual Teaching approach, in which students learn from two instructors simultaneously—a native-speaking teacher delivering online lessons and a Vietnamese teacher providing in-person support in the classroom. The program has been successfully piloted at several universities and colleges.

The program follows the OMO (Online Merge Offline) model, combining the flexibility of online learning with the engagement of face-to-face instruction. Classes are delivered via a dual-teaching format, allowing students to benefit from both international and local pedagogical perspectives.

The curriculum is divided into three levels, from A1 to B1, aligned with the CEFR framework. It focuses on listening, speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, and real-time communication. The learning materials include printed textbooks, instructional videos, interactive exercises, and a self-learning platform enhanced by A.I., which tracks progress and adapts content accordingly. Outside of formal classes, students participate in clubs, group projects, and experiential learning activities, encouraging consistent English practice in diverse contexts.
