TESOL Training Program

In partnership with the Madison School of Professional Development, USA

The TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program provides learners with modern English teaching methodologies, with a strong focus on practical classroom issues. Upon successful completion of the program and obtaining the International TESOL certificate, learners can easily find opportunities to teach English worldwide.

The international TESOL program taught at the ISIEE Institute meets international accreditation standards. Participants who complete the training course will be certified by the Madison School of Professional Development, USA.

Target Audience

- Third- and fourth-year students majoring in English Language, Translation & Interpretation, or Business English

- Working professionals with strong English skills seeking a secondary career in English teaching

English teachers seeking to update their pedagogical knowledge and obtain an international qualification

Program Duration and Delivery

  • Total Duration: 120 hours, including:


    – 36 hours of in-class instruction with a trainer


    – 84 hours of self-paced study on the LMS platform, including materials, lesson planning practice, and instructor feedback


    Delivery Modes: Offline or OMO (Online-Merge-Offline) model


    Course Length: 4–6 weeks, with weekday or weekend study options

Entry Requirements

  • – IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 46–59, or TOEIC 605–780 and above

    – English majors are exempt from the English placement test

    – Applicants meeting ISIEE’s internal English placement test standards

Program Structure and Learning Outcomes

The program consists of 12 modules, designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in effective English teaching methodologies. Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  • Understand key approaches to English language teaching through different historical stages
  • Build a professional teaching persona and use age- and proficiency-appropriate English in instruction
  • Master effective techniques for teaching grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Using visual aids and whiteboard techniques effectively
  • Lesson Planning
  • Understand the core principles of lesson plan development and apply them across a variety of teaching materials.
  • Create lesson plans for skill-based, grammar-focused, and pronunciation lessons
  • Manage classes effectively
  • Apply an understanding of learner psychology at different age levels to inform teachi ng methods and classroom management approaches.
  • Utilize the latest teaching materials and resources from Cambridge, Oxford, and Pearson in young learner instruction.

Maximize lesson delivery through modern educational technologies and resources, including iTools, e-lessons, videos, My English Lab, and LMS systems
Apply AI tools for lesson design, personalized learning activities, and assessment creation

Certification

  • Graduates will be awarded the Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), issued by the Madison School of Professional Development, USA.

    This certificate is recognized both domestically and in the international job market. 

    It serves as a mandatory professional qualification for foreign teachers seeking to legally teach in Vietnam and is a required credential for obtaining a work permit.
