BRINGING NATIVE-SPEAKING TEACHERS TO REMOTE AREAS: ISIEE’S OMO MODEL WINS SUPPORT IN VINH LONG

A 5-day non-stop journey (March 23–27), traveling to each locality and meeting directly with nearly 200 schools — that was the result of the recent field trip by the team from The Institute of Studies International Education and Economics (ISIEE) to the newly expanded Vinh Long province. The trip was not just about introducing a program. More importantly, it was about bringing the OMO English Dual -Teaching Model to share with schools in remote areas and help them tackle their most real and pressing challenges.

Seeing things on the ground made it clear — the newly expanded Vinh Long has a very strong demand for quality education, but school principals also carry many worries and concerns. The desire to bring high-quality English into their schools is very clear, and these schools are genuinely short of native-speaking teachers.

The ISIEE delegation met and worked with the school principals across schools in the newly expanded Vinh Long province.

However, the long distances to remote commune schools, combined with concerns about paperwork and accommodation procedures for foreign teachers from previous partnerships, have made many schools hesitant. They want to do what’s best for their students, but fear the risks.

Understanding these real difficulties, ISIEE’s OMO Dual -Teaching Model offered a practical solution. Rather than just talking theory, ISIEE won schools over through a hands-on, real-world approach.

Through smooth coordination, each classroom has a Vietnamese teacher providing direct, in-person support to students, paired with 100% native-speaking teachers dual -teaching via an online platform. This approach bridges the distance, bringing international teachers right into the most remote classrooms. Even better, it completely removes the school’s burden of handling legal procedures for foreign nationals — giving both school principals and local authorities full peace of mind.

And the results proved it works. Setting aside initial concerns — and even the fact that many schools were busy preparing for mergers — the highly practical OMO model earned clear support from partners across the newly expanded Vinh Long.

A field trip with one goal: to bring internationally-standard English learning opportunities to every child, no matter where they are.

By the end of the trip, nearly 200 schools had expressed support and were ready to adopt ISIEE’s program for the 2026–2027 school year. This warm reception is a great source of joy for the team’s dedicated grassroots efforts, and further motivates ISIEE to keep pushing toward its mission: To bring internationally-standard English learning opportunities to every child, no matter where they are.
