HO CHI MINH CITY – On October 31, 2025, The Institute of Studies of International Education and Economics (ISIEE) had the distinct honor of welcoming a high-ranking delegation from the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (AVU&C) for a working visit held in a formal, open, and deeply inspiring atmosphere.
The delegation included two seasoned and influential educators: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi – Standing Vice Chairman of the Association and former Deputy Minister of Education & Training; and Dr. Van Dinh Ung – Head of the Association’s Communications Department and former Deputy Chief of Office at the Ministry of Education & Training.
A Visit of Profound Significance
The presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi and Dr. Van Dinh Ung was not merely a routine working session but a source of immense encouragement for the entire ISIEE team. These are the “titans” of the industry, individuals whose entire lives have been dedicated to the noble cause of “cultivating people.”
During the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi shared his heartfelt educational philosophy. He emphasized that, beyond all knowledge, the ultimate goal of education is “to create individuals who are kind, happy, and socially responsible.” Notably, Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi is the visionary who proposed November 20th as Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. He is also the inspiration behind the nationwide opening day on September 5th with the slogan “The entire population takes children to school,” aiming to spread the value and spirit of education to every citizen.
This philosophy aligns perfectly with the core values and guiding principles that ISIEE consistently pursues in all its research and transfer activities.
Validation of a Correct Path
After listening to reports on the Institute’s activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi highly appreciated ISIEE’s relentless efforts. He affirmed:
“ISIEE is on the right track and making practical contributions, especially in the context where the Prime Minister has just issued Decision 2371/QD-TTg on making English a second language in schools starting from Grade 1.”
He further affirmed and lauded ISIEE’s initiative in applying the OMO (Online-Merge-Offline)
