There are schools whose mission extends far beyond academic instruction. They help students develop values, ways of thinking, and the confidence to enter the world with purpose. Dong Do High School in Hanoi is one of them.
Established in 1991, Dong Do High School has spent more than three decades growing, refining, and shaping its educational identity. From its early days, the school, named after the ancient capital of Vietnam, has embraced a simple yet profound educational philosophy: “A place where young learners cultivate virtue and develop talent.”
Over the past 35 years, through generations of students who have grown under its roof, Dong Do has never stopped asking itself an important question: “How can each student not only gain admission to university, but also become a person of character, resilience, and readiness for the future?”. Today, that question is being answered through a bold new step.

A meaningful moment as ISIEE, together with the school leadership, teachers, former educators, and generations of educators, commemorates the 35-year journey of Dong Do High School — a journey of tradition, innovation, and sustainable educational aspirations.
As Vietnamese education enters a period of strong transformation, Dong Do High School has officially implemented the OMO learning model, an Offline–Online educational model that harmoniously combines in-person classroom learning, technology-supported learning, and online learning.
Phase 1 was piloted with two classes and 72 participating students. These are the first Dong Do students to experience a learning approach that is no longer limited by space or time, where technology does not replace teachers, but instead becomes an extended arm of guidance, support, and inspiration.
This milestone marks only the beginning. Starting from the 2026–2027 school year, the OMO model will be implemented school-wide, reaching 100% of Dong Do High School. It is a bold yet well-planned roadmap, reflecting a systematic commitment to innovation. A modern Dong Do is being shaped from within.
The Institute of Studies of International Education and Economics (ISIEE) has had the opportunity to learn more deeply about the development journey of Dong Do High School, and we cannot help but feel moved by what the school has accomplished and continues to pursue.
ISIEE highly values not only the professional quality of the teaching staff, but also the strategic vision of the Chairperson of the School Board and the school’s Pedagogical Council — those who dare to think differently and act differently for the future of their students, starting today. This is a rare quality in any educational institution, and Dong Do possesses it.
Representatives of ISIEE take a commemorative photo with the leadership and teachers of Dong Do High School, marking a shared commitment to educational innovation and the implementation of the OMO model toward a modern learning environment.
The fact that a school with 35 years of history still chooses innovation, not out of pressure, but out of responsibility to the younger generation, is the clearest testament to the core values that Dong Do has preserved throughout its long journey.
The country is entering a new era — an era in which knowledge, technology, and human resilience will become the most valuable assets. In this era, each school is not merely a place for transmitting knowledge, but a place for nurturing global citizens, young people who are ready to grow alongside the nation.
ISIEE is committed to accompanying Dong Do High School on this journey, through expertise, international resources, and the heartfelt dedication of educators who believe that every student deserves to learn in the best possible environment.
For the journey toward a modern Dong Do, ISIEE is honored to contribute its part.
