Jan 5th, 2026, ISIEE Fully Sponsors English Tuition for 45 Students from Disadvantaged Backgrounds

“Every child is born with the same right to learn. Family hardship or geographic distance should never become a barrier that keeps students from quality education.”

That message was at the heart of a tuition sponsorship signing ceremony recently held at Thanh Loi A Primary School (Tan Quoi Commune, Vinh Long Province). The event marked a strategic partnership between the school and the Institute of Studies of International Education and Economics (ISIEE) to help bring better learning opportunities to students in remote areas.

Understanding the disadvantages faced by students in underserved communities, ISIEE worked with the school leadership to provide full tuition support for 45 students from especially difficult family backgrounds.

What makes this support meaningful is not only the financial help, but also the long-term commitment: the students will receive English learning support through the Ignite English program until they complete primary school. Ignite English is a listening-and-speaking enhangement program delivered by native English teachers through the OMO (Online–Merge–Offline) classroom model.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem (representing the Tan Quoi Commune People’s Committee), Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh (School Principal), Mr. Nguyen Huu Thoi (representing the Parent Association), and ISIEE’s leadership team.

The room became quiet and emotional when ISIEE President Nguyen Thi Hong Loan shared the hopes of parents in rural communities. She said, “Life has been hard for many families, so every parent dreams that their child will have a better future. English is a tool — a key — that can open doors to the world, change a child’s life, and help them one day return to contribute to their hometown.”

She compared the support from parents and schools to building a “bridge” for children: “If parents keep encouraging their children, and make sure they attend school regularly — even when daily life is difficult — that is how children overcome challenges and move toward a brighter future.”

Making the goal real: “A Vinh Long that speaks English well”

The OMO model brought by ISIEE to Thanh Loi A Primary School is a modern solution that reduces the limits of distance. Even in a modest classroom in Tan Quoi, students can interact directly and practice standard pronunciation with teachers from around the world, with strong support from Vietnamese teachers in the class.

The ceremony ended with bright smiles and warm gifts for the 45 students. This was not only a charity activity, but a clear commitment from ISIEE: no child should be left behind on the path toward making English the second language in schools.
